A ventilation path between the epitympanum and the antromastoidal cavity lateral to the corpus incudis is formed by milling the bone. A wide posterior tympanotomy is performed up to the hypotympanum. A shunt is then installed into the anterior sections of the tympanic membrane and a silicone drainage tube is installed into the antromastoidal cavity. USE - Medicine.
