Then vitrectomy is performed, the anterior layers of the hyaloid membrane are removed. Next, by cutting the vitreotome, an opening is formed in the posterior capsule of the lens in the outer segment, which extends beyond the optical element of the IOL. According to the second variant, a local dissection of the posterior capsule of the natural lens is performed in patients with pseudophakia. After vitrectomy and removal of the anterior layers of the hyaloid membrane by cutting the vitreo-tome, a through hole is formed in the duplication of the capsular bag, outward from the IOL, extending beyond its optical element.
