Before the formation of the drainage hole, the surface of the ciliary body is flattened at the junction with the root of the iris using an optical probe with an outer diameter of 2 mm and a working spot size of 1500 mcm and a diode laser with a wavelength of 810 nm and an output power of 0.3 W. Next, using an optical probe with an outer diameter of 900 mcm, and a working spot size of 500 mcm and a power of 0.2 W of the above laser, a drainage hole is formed at the junction of the iris root and the surface of the ciliary body until filtration from the anterior and posterior chambers appears.
