USE - The method is useful for performing surgical treatment of kidney cancer with thrombosis of the inferior vena cava. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Method for performing surgical treatment of kidney cancer with thrombosis of the inferior vena cava involves providing general anesthesia with tracheal intubation and mechanical ventilation in the supine position with a femoral approach along the Ken's line on the right, 5 cm long, the right common femoral artery and vein, performing a total median laparotomy, performing oblique diaphragmotomy, intrapericardially taking suprahepatic section of the inferior vena cava, performing Cattell-Braasch maneuver i.e. right-sided medial visceral rotation, ligating and transecting the renal artery at the point where it flows into the inferior vena cava at the base of the aorta, compressing the inferior vena cava, ligating and transecting 3 cm above its bifurcation, mediating the right lobe of the liver, cutting short hepatic veins, squeezing thrombus from the inferior vena cava to a level below the caval gate and above the tumor thrombus, applying Satinsky clamp, and removing the kidney with the formation and a section of the inferior vena cava with the tumor thrombus as a single block without subsequent reconstruction. |
