成果简介	NOVELTY - The device has an insect trapping box formed as cylindrical shape and attached to a bottom of a funnel by using a nut and a bolt, where an end of the insect trapping box is formed with an opening with a lid for removal of trapped insects. The box is formed with holes for allowing smaller insect parasitoids to escape from the box while other bigger sized insect pests are remained trapped. A hanging water pot is kept hanging with a galvanized wire, where pheromone septa for lepidopteran pests is fixed in a holder attached from a bottom of a water pot and the pheromone septa is kept above a water level for trapping of moths of lepidopteran moths efficiently. USE - Light and pheromone combination insect trapping device for trapping insects e.g. white grub and lepidopteran borer, detrimental to sugarcane and crops. ADVANTAGE - The device has ability to trap a wide range of insects due to light and specific insects such as certain species of white grubs and lepidopteran borers. The trap continues to work even in case of power failure in rural areas, and ensures that beetle trapping efficiency of a trap is about 5 percentage more with 99 percentage efficiency and reduced cost over existing light traps.
