成果简介	NOVELTY - The planter comprises a furrow opener (102) for planting rhizome seeds by opening up a furrow in a seed-bed in soil. A furrow-covering device covers the furrow and the rhizomes seeds. A metering mechanism includes a sprocket (114), a moving chain, and a metering bucket (116) attached to the moving chain. The metering unit automatically picks up the seeds from a hopper (108) till planting the seeds in the furrow, where the planter with the mechanism maintains a predefined row-to-row distance and plant-to-plant spacing while planting the Rhizome Seeds in the furrow. USE - Power-operated single planter for rhizome seeds example ginger and turmeric, for hill cultivation in agriculture field and hill cultivation area. ADVANTAGE - The machine operated planter for planting seeds of rhizome helps in timely planting in hills cultivation or elsewhere, reduction in cost and dependence on labor as well as it may also boost the adoption of mechanical transplanting of rhodesome seeds. The machine is capable of accomplishing all the operations in one go and can help in timely and uniform sowing of seeds, and the dependency on labor will be reduced during their peak demand. The planter reduces drudgery of the workers, and increases productivity and efficiency.
