成果简介NOVELTY - The apparatus (100) has a guide roller (120) arranged between a fixed roller and a movable roller. A driving band is removed form a shell (130) by keeping the shell on the guide roller and the movable rollers come in contact with the shell. The fixed roller creates pressure on the driving band as the shell is pressed between the rollers, where the pressure created by the moveable roller plastically deforms the band. The driving band gets removed from the shell, and the drive roller gets retracted after removal of the band from the casing. The shell is picked up, and the band is recovered. USE - Apparatus for removing driving band from artillery shell. ADVANTAGE - The apparatus enables removing the driving band which is economical, safe, time saving, and requires less human effort. The apparatus has a driving band which can be removed from the shell without damaging the knurling on the shell. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a method for removing driving band.
