成果简介	NOVELTY - The chopping mechanism has four two-sided serrated blades (1) that are mounted on to individual flange (2). Two flanges are mounted to each vertical shaft (3). The chopped straw is kept on striking with the cutting blades during that time chopping cover (4) restricts straw moving out of cutting zone to realize multiple cuts of straw before interaction with tiller blades (5) for mixing into the soil. The flanges on the vertical rotating shaft comprise sliding arrangement (6) to control the size of the chopped straw. The vertical rotating shaft has horizontal sliding arrangement unit (7) to maintain the cutting width as well as overlapping between the blades. The blades are serrated in both the sides. The serrated blades are secured to flanges by nut and bolt for easy and quick replacement. USE - Integrated chopping mechanism for chopping, tilling and mixing agricultural residue using rotary tiller in harvested paddy, wheat or similar crop filed. ADVANTAGE - The machine performs three operations simultaneously viz., chopping, tilling and mixing for preparation of seed bed for wheat or other crops after harvesting of paddy by combine harvester. This type of chopping mechanism can be easily attached to commercially available rotary tiller for greater mixing and pulverization in paddy harvested fields. The chopping unit can be used for cutting of stubble, green grass and other low growing forage crops in without rotational tiller attachment. By performing soil tillage and crop residue chopping simultaneously, time and fuel requirement in seed bed preparation can be saved significantly.
