| 成果简介 | NOVELTY - The device has a primary frame (1) and a secondary frame (2) attached with each other with a pair of telescopic rods (3) and mounted over a tree that is to be maintained. A sitting unit (4) is fabricated at one end of the primary frame to equip a user and fitted with a weight sensor (5) for measuring weight of the user. A pair of electromagnets (6) is attached to each ends of the frames actuate or deactivate in order to assist in moving the frames in a manner to climb over the tree. An imaging unit (7) is installed over the frame and linked to a microcontroller. USE - Climbing assistive device for use by a climber e.g. arborist, tree surgeon and arbor culturist, for climbing a vertical columnar structure i.e. tree. Can also be used for climbing shrubs, vines and perennial woody plants in dendrology and horticulture. ADVANTAGE - The device comprises a zig zag rack arranged in between the frames which allow the distribution of the weight over the frame, and thus determine the counter weight to enable the movement of the frame in a crisscross manner. The inflating bag is actuated when the microcontroller detects falling of the user according to the weight sensor reading and thus actuate the inflated bag to actuate and bulge out in order to prevent the user from any accidents or injuries. The suction cup determines the squeezed out of air from the cup which create low pressure region inside the cup and high pressure region outside which allows the suction cups to hold a tight grip with the tree.
