成果简介	NOVELTY - An anti-gravity diffusion cell apparatus made of glass or silica, comprises a upper part water jacketed receiver compartment having a receiver compartment, a top sampling port water jacket, a water inlet, a water outlet and a stirrer. A middle part donor compartment is provided with a middle donor compartment, an inlet for mucus/simulated mucus fluid and mucosa/membrane. A lower portion support base is provided with a support base and a bottom sampling port for in vitro diffusion/mucoadhesive studies of solid, semisolid, liquid or aerosol pharmaceutical formulations meant for administration. USE - Anti-gravity diffusion cell apparatus for performing vitro studies of pharmaceutical formulations meant for nasal, buccal, rectal or vaginal delivery of active drugs. ADVANTAGE - The anti-gravity diffusion cell simulates the drug diffusion from nose to brain when an intranasal formulation is administered into the nasal cavity. It has the provision to provide a continuous supply of mucus/simulated mucus at the site of application of the formulation. The cell mimics the in vivo conditions for the pharmaceutical formulations administered through the above mentioned sites and helps in evaluating the mucoadhesive properties of the formulations.
