成果简介	NOVELTY - The assembly (102) has a first element for being pivotable about point lying between a first end and a second end of the first element, where a second element moves between initial position and extended position. A protruding component remains engaged with the first element at first location when the first element is in first position and at second location when the first element is in second position. A latch pin is positioned on the second element. An actuator (106) is coupled to a cam, where the cam rotates in response to activation of the actuator, and contacts and connects against an extended portion of the second element for allowing the protruding component of the second element to disengage from the first element to move the first element from the first position to the second position. USE - Latch assembly for a vehicle system. ADVANTAGE - The assembly has minimal number of mechanical moving components for a locking and unlocking mechanism in the vehicle system so as to reduce cost of the assembly, and avoids requirement of additional sensors to enable the locking or the unlocking mechanism, and transferring of tampering load onto the actuator to realize efficient locking and unlocking of the assembly.
