成果简介	NOVELTY - The device has a pruning shear for pruning attached on top of the direct current (DC) motor for regulating speed of blades of the pruning shear. A pulley prunes or trims the hard branches of vine. A string is attached with a long telescopic handle. An operating switch powers on and off of the DC motor. A clutch is provided at an end of the elongated handle opposite to the pruning shear to control manual activity of the shear. The telescopic handle is of 1.2 m length to reach desired distance. The device main body is operated manually as well as with DC motor. USE - Battery-operated handheld device for pruning kiwi vines pruner used in the undulating terrains and hilly areas. ADVANTAGE - The device has lessened the stripping out costs and leads to better canopy management, increases yield and improves yield and removes the fruiting-wire staples. The device trims vines of kiwi in summer at proper distance to maintain the balance between vine growth and fruit production. The device reduces drudgery of the workers, increases productivity and efficiency. The device prevents the workers from work-related musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) due to work above the shoulder height which increases the risk for MSDs. The device is portable and light weight, and and is be carried to any place of need.
