Alternating current and voltage produced by generators connected for parallel operation are converted into direct current and voltage using rectifiers. An inverter of the generators is used as a frequency setter after converting the direct current and the voltage into the alternating current and the voltage using the inverters. The generators are turned on. The inverters are operated as a network after connecting the generators to parallel operation. A control signal is transmitted for use as a frequency-setting inverter to one of the generators remaining in operation and the inverter used as the frequency-setting inverter when the first generator is disconnected.
