成果简介NOVELTY - The green roof module comprises a modular tray with metal jali at the bottom, a waterproofing layer coated on the corrugated sheet, a layer of sedum plant species reaching a height of 150-250 millimeters, 100 millimeters mixture of sandy soil and organic manure in the ratio of 50-50, 10 millimeters thick cocoa peat baskets to act as root barrier and enhance moisture retention, 1.2 millimeters thick geotextile membrane to retain debris and allow excess water to drain out, and 15 millimeters thick high density polyethylene mat, commonly known as drain cells. USE - Green roof module for retrofitting over a sloping GI sheet truss type roof for thermal performance and seismic analysis for low-budget shacks, temporary structures, guard houses and kiosks. ADVANTAGE - The performance of the green roof module retrofitted over the sloping GI sheet truss type roofing is assessed through the life size experimental set-up, whole building simulation modeling, and structural analysis. The seismic analysis is carried out to determine the lateral force-resisting system of the structure and the capacity of green roof to withstand seismic loads. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for retrofitting a green roof module over a sloping GI sheet truss type ro.
