成果简介NOVELTY - Detecting and assessing neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) and cytological changes associated with NETosis in a supravitally stained oral fluid preparation, comprises (a) collecting oral fluid and diluting with a phosphate buffer solution, adding propidium iodide and monoclonal antibodies to cluster of differentiation (CD)45 labeled with fluorescein isothiocyanate, previously diluted with a phosphate buffer solution and incubating under a cover glass in the dark, (b) visualizing the results by fluorescence microscopy using light filters, (c) calculating the percentage of NETs of different types, and (d) additionally calculating the coefficient of capture of microorganisms by neutrophil traps. USE - The method is useful for detecting and assessing NETs and cytological changes associated with NETosis in a supravitally stained oral fluid preparation. ADVANTAGE - None given.
