| 成果简介 | NOVELTY - Preparing 9β,10α 3,20-bis(ethylenedioxy)-pregna-5,7-diene (III) in a continuous flow reactor involves dissolving 9α,10β-3,20-bis(ethylenedioxy)-pregna-5,7-diene derivative (I) in an organic solvent and passing it through a continuous flow reactor having a filtered light beam at the rate of 5-60 ml per minute. The derivative (I) undergoes a photochemical reaction and gets converted into 3,20-bis(ethylenedioxy), 6E/Z-9,10-seco-pregna-5(10),6,8-triene intermediate (II), which gets converted into compound (III), followed by concentration of the reaction mixture and isolation from a mixture of acetonitrile and methanol. USE - Method for preparing 9~b,10a 3,20-bis(ethylenedioxy)-pregna-5,7-diene (III) in a continuous flow reactor. ADVANTAGE - The method provides an economical, industrially viable, and environment-friendly process for the photochemical synthesis of 913,10a-pregna-5-7-diene derivatives, in a shorter duration of time, with purity complying with regulatory specifications by lowering consumption of solvents with lower amount of photochemical irradiation. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing 9~b,10a 3,20-bis(ethylenedioxy)-pregna-5,7-diene of formula (III) in a continuous flow reactor involves dissolving 9α,10β-3,20-bis(ethylenedioxy)-pregna-5,7-diene derivative of formula (I) in an organic solvent and passing it through a continuous flow reactor having a filtered light beam at the rate of 5-60 ml per minute. The derivative (I) undergoes a photochemical reaction and gets converted into 3,20-bis(ethylenedioxy), 6E/Z-9,10-seco-pregna-5(10),6,8-triene intermediate of formula (II), which gets converted into compound of formula (III), followed by concentration of the reaction mixture and isolation from a mixture of acetonitrile and methanol. |
