| 成果简介 | NOVELTY - The surge protection circuit (102) has a metal oxide varistor (MOV) (106) and a gas discharge tube (GDT) (108) connected in series. A first capacitor (116) is connected between a neutral terminal (110) and a ground terminal, and second capacitor (118) connected between live terminal (114) and the ground terminal (112). The MOV and the GDT in series are connected between the live and neutral terminals. The first capacitor and second capacitor filter out high-frequency noise, and the MOV has a voltage rating of 150 volt and clamping voltage of 395 volt. USE - Surge protection circuit for light emitting diode (LED) driver (claimed) used in lighting applications e.g. residential, commercial, and industrial lighting. Can also be used in solid-state lighting (SSL). ADVANTAGE - The surge protection circuit provides reliable surge protection while being cost-efficient and easy to implement. It provides protection against surge voltage and high input voltage. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a method of protecting a LED driver from surge voltage.
