| 成果简介 | NOVELTY - Unremitting-flow multi-chambered bioelectrochemical reactor (UnFlowBER) comprises: main reactor assembly having first and second member, one pair of first side and second side members, and compartmented into four portions by plastic plates, and four inlets are developed for every anode portion in the centre of main reactor assembly. The portion is divided into anode and cathode portion by fitting separator, resulting into anode and cathode portion. The anode portion includes conductive material mesh, e.g. stainlesss teel mesh as anode-electrode, and each stainless-steel mesh supports growth of biofilm of electricigens; and in each cathode portion, on internal walls, cathode layer is linked to metal mesh current collector. The top of cathode layer is coupled with copper wire, and load assembled outside the portion; and wastewater enters through four anode inlets, travels through anode portion, passes from anode outlets, travels in cathode portion and exits from outlets of cathode. USE - Unremitting-flow multi-chambered bioelectrochemical reactor for the chemical treatment of wastewater and electricity generation, desalination, and/or value added product generation (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The unremitting-flow multi-chambered bioelectrochemical reactor is an energy producing system, and has high power output, and has provision of wastewater disinfection, and eliminates the need of external input of agitation for mixing of anolyte and power requirements and is considered to be a net power generating rather net neutral or negative power system, and generates direct electricity from chemical energy of wastewater, which is treated by microbial films on to the electrode, reduces the hydraulic retention time (HRT) of anolyte in anode portions, eliminates choking and clogging and short-circuit of feed, and is efficient for long term continuous operation with minimal maintenance, and can accomplish treatment of multiple types of wastewater in single operation. |
