成果简介NOVELTY - The system has a cutting raw material block provided with a knife tip catching system mounted on opposite side of two non-coplanar plates with V-jaws, and moved away or towards each other to open or close the jaws to catch the knife tip to support the knife tip and prevent from bending when cutting designs in XY plane. A sensor is mounted at a rear-side of a rear plate to detect correct plunging and catching of knife tip. A breakaway plate is attached to each other through magnets. The plate is provided with a reed switch sensor, which detects presence, absence of a magnet attached to the plate to detect a breaking away the plate. USE - XYZ axis computer numerical control (CNC) block piercing and cutting system for cutting designs with inner geometries in big block of material. ADVANTAGE - The knife can cut designs with inner geometries and produce output without compromising strength of a manufactured object and productivity. The knife allows a V-jaw closing action to grip the knife semi rigid with graphite pads to wipe and clean molten foam from the knife and to prevent knife tip bending and vibration. The plate is provided with a hole through which tip of a hot knife can pass through, thus constraining the knife tip from vibration and deflection.
