成果简介	NOVELTY - Banana biomass based soft cake including its utility products as paper based sheet/products, comprises chemical free and mechanically processed banana pseudo stem fibrous and non-fibrous biomass-based paper sheet having selective moisture content in the range of 10.5-12.5% with oil absorbency of less than 10% and water absorbency and greater than 100% after 24 hours of dipping in oil or water. USE - Banana biomass based soft cake including its utility products as paper based sheet/products used in bag and/or cutlery items. ADVANTAGE - The banana biomass based soft cake and utility products comprises variety of utility items including carry bag of any dimensions, utility bag, and molded cutlery items like plate, bowl and thali, which are printable with natural or synthetic colors, laminated including thermoplastic film and coat-able. The process does not require any chemical, adhesive, binder, or any other auxiliaries and uses minimum quantity of water. The paper sheet produced at ambient temperature. All the raw materials, products and by-products are derived from the nature, hence bio-degradable. The process of making paper-sheet is simple and scalable. The paper-sheet can be colored, printed, laminated and coated for end application in bag and/or cutlery items. The developed paper-sheet/ products are not susceptible to microorganism, so they can be stored for more than one year under atmospheric condition. The developed process is simple, chemical-free, scalable, does not require any pulping chemical, adhesive, binder, or any other auxiliaries and does not require any heating arrangement (carried out at ambient temperature process), indicating cost effectiveness of the process. Thus, the process of making sheet/products is environment friendly, and also describes a sustainable management of huge agro-waste-biomass for different potential applications. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for manufacture of Banana biomass based soft cake and its utility products, which involves: (i) providing green pseudo stem of banana biomass, (ii) subjecting to mechanical processing of crushing for generating paste like constitution, (iii) subjecting the thus obtained paste like constitution of step (ii) to beating action in the presence of added water in the range of 400 to 600% by wt. of green banana plant for reducing fiber length and non-fibrous content to particles, (iv) draining out the water to thereby generate the soft cake.
