| 成果简介 | NOVELTY - The impairment (1000) has a gaze-database unit (GDU) for storing gaze information received from an eye tracking unit (ETU) (200). A gaze index extractor unit (GIU) retrieves the gaze information from the GDU and computes gaze-based indices including saccade latency, accuracy of fixation, and percentage of correct hits. A gaze-based classifier unit (GCU) performs two-stage hierarchical unsupervised clustering on input based on gaze-based indices. The GCU classifies users in one of a healthy impaired group or a cognitively impaired group based on the computed gaze-based indices in first stage of the clustering. The GCU classifies the users in one of levels of the impairment in second stage of the clustering, where the levels include mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and Dementia. USE - Gaze-sensitive screening battery system for assessing cognitive impairment e.g. MCI, and Dementia, by screening cases of post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) of patient for treating cancer and cardio-cerebrovascular disorders. ADVANTAGE - The system is easy to use, and improves doctor`s understanding while checking progress of cognitive health of the patient, and offers visual tasks on a computer monitor to elicit reflexive saccades, inhibitory saccades, and memory guided fixation, and extracts user`s gaze metrics synchronized with the visual tasks. The system offers a two-level screening platform and objective metrics, and identifies early signs of the impairment, so that the impairment can be used for checking mental health of student. The system maintains user positioning of eyes with respect to the ETU during gaze tracking, thus ensuring accurate and consistent gaze data acquisition throughout cognitive tasks.
