成果简介NOVELTY - The ladle has vortex busters located at ladle bottom. The vortex busters are provided with fin type vortex busters placed perpendicular with respect to a tangent of a top peripheral surface of a well block for effectively suppressing rotational velocity of fluid near teaming nozzle and thereby reducing metal loss in a steel ladle during teeming process. The fin type rectangular vortex busters are reasonably secured with respect to the well block and free of any modification of flow control devices. The ladle bottom reduces metal loss in 350 ton ladle during teeming of liquid steel. USE - Steel ladle for reducing metal loss in a ladle during slag-free teeming of liquid steel from ladle to tundish during steel-making process. ADVANTAGE - The steel ladle has reduced metal loss during slag-free teeming of liquid steel from ladle to tundish for increasing process yield and reducing overall energy consumption. The fin type rectangular shaped vortex buster effectively suppresses the rotational velocity of fluid near the teeming nozzle, thus delaying the vortex formation and helps to keep low quantity of retained liquid steel inside the steel ladles to a minimum of 1.7tons during the slag free teeming process.
