成果简介NOVELTY - Method for assessing the effectiveness of disinfestation involves (a) preparing aqueous suspensions with a known number of viable helminth eggs and protozoan cysts, (b) dividing the suspensions into equal portions, one of which is subjected to microwave irradiation, and the second is stored at 4° C until a joint study is performed, and (c) assessing the effectiveness of disinfestation by calculating the number of viable eggs or cysts of protozoa in the treated sample in comparison with the original sample and is calculated as a percentage with disinfestation considered effective if 98% of eggs and cysts are killed. USE - The method is useful for assessing the effectiveness of disinfestation.
