DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for an automated method for stain removal analysis for a washing machine, which involves: a. receiving an image of a stained cloth from a terminal device; b. detecting stains and the cloth in the received image of the stained cloth; c. identifying properties associated with the detected stains and the cloth in the received image; d. predicting degrees of stain removal that could be achieved by adopting washing modes based on the identified properties associated with the detected stains and the cloth; and e. generating modified images of the stained cloth that resemble the cloth after wash based on the predicted degrees of stain removal for the washing modes.
