DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for preparing a therapeutic composition for neurodegenerative diseases, comprising (a) derivatizing polyethylene glycol (PEG) with maleimide to obtain maleimide PEG; (b) preparing a di-block polymer comprising maleimide PEG and polycaprolactone (PCL) by solvent evaporation; (c) coupling the di-block polymer to a transactivator of transcription (TAT) peptide via thiol coupling to obtain TAT-maleimide PEG-PCL polymer; and (d) preparing nanoparticles of the TAT-maleimide PEG-PCL polymer and encapsulating vorinostat and rosiglitazone nanoparticles in the polymer using water in oil in water (w/o/w) double emulsion solvent evaporation.
