成果简介NOVELTY - Detecting the presence of a pesticide imidacloprid on vegetables and fruits comprises: (a) taking fruit or vegetable as sample to be tested for the detection of pesticide; (b) swabbing the fruit or vegetable using a sterile cotton bud add it to a conical flask containing distilled water; (c) adding the reacting chemical glacial acetic acid into a conical flask and observe the solution for turbidity or precipitate; (d) amount of turbidity and the precipitate qualitatively and semiqualitatively confirmed the presence of the pesticide; (e) testing an organically grown fruit and found the result as negative; (f) commercially grown potato with the pesticide imidacloprid showed a positive result. USE - Method for detecting the presence of a pesticide imidacloprid on vegetables and fruits. ADVANTAGE - The method reduces the diseases caused by pesticides, improves the lifestyle of people. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a kit is developed to detect the presence of a pesticide imidacloprid on vegetables and fruits which comprises heating coil that generates heat and a glass slide that has a coating of the chemical that reacts with the heat placed over the coil; a battery stored the energy required to heat the heating coil; a charger port is located to charge the battery; within 2-5 minutes of placing the sample on the slide, the chemical reacts with it, and the coil heats up; confirm the presence of pesticides due to the specific chemical reaction.
