| 成果简介 | NOVELTY - Detecting the presence of Mancozeb, a pesticide residues on vegetables and fruits comprises: (a) taking tomato as sample to be tested for the detection of pesticide; (b) swabbing the tomato using a sterile cotton bud and adding to a conical flask containing distilled water; (c) adding the reacting chemical lead acetate into a conical flask and observing the solution; (d) forming lead sulfide where mancozeb contains sulfur, a black color or a precipitate; (e) organically growing Tomato did not show black color whereas the commercial Tomato grown Mancozeb shows a positive result. USE - Method for detecting the presence of Mancozeb, a pesticide residues on vegetables and fruits. ADVANTAGE - The method enables to create awareness among the public about the harmful effects of pesticides and its residues. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a kit is developed to detect the presence of a pesticide residue, Mancozeb on vegetables and fruits which comprises heating coil that generates heat and a glass slide that has a coating of the chemical that reacts with the heat placed over the coil; a battery stored the energy required to heat the heating coil; a charger port is located to charge the battery; within 2-5 minutes of placing the sample on the slide, the chemical reacts with, and the coil heats up; confirming the presence of pesticides due to the specific chemical reaction. |
