成果简介NOVELTY - Obtaining oxidized form of squalene from Cocos nuciferainvolves (a) deveining fresh leaves of Cocos nuciferaand obtaining a precursor raw material, (b) subjecting precursor raw material to air drying under low light conditions at a first predetermined temperature for a first predetermined time-period to obtain dried raw material, (c) crushing the dried raw material to obtain a powdered raw material, (d) soaking powdered raw material in a solvent in a predetermined ratio for a second predetermined time-period at a second predetermined temperature to obtain a mixture, (e) subjecting mixture to mechanical stirring at a first predetermined speed for third predetermined time-period at third predetermined temperature to obtain a primary extract followed by filtering the extract through sintered disc funnel under vacuum to obtain a clear extract, (f) treating clear extract with activated silica gel having mesh size in the range of 60-120 at 20-30℃ for 1-10 minutes. USE - Method for obtaining oxidized form of squalene from Cocos nucifera for targeting senescent cells and used in composition, e.g., nutraceutical composition or a topical composition (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables to provide for obtaining oxidized form of squalene (OSQ) from Cocos nucifera leaves that have an anti-aging activity and to provide a safe composition. The composition exhibits antioxidant activity and anti-aging activity with extended shelf life and has no side effects and no cytotoxic effects on human cell lines. The composition increases cell viability and also inhibits the senescence of senescence-induced cells. The composition has antioxidant activity and anti-aging activity and has shelf life of 15-24 months. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Obtaining oxidized form of squalene from Cocos nuciferainvolves (a) deveining fresh leaves of Cocos nuciferaand obtaining a precursor raw material, (b) subjecting precursor raw material to air drying under low light conditions at a first predetermined temperature for a first predetermined time-period to obtain dried raw material, (c) crushing the dried raw material to obtain a powdered raw material, (d) soaking powdered raw material in a solvent in a predetermined ratio for a second predetermined time-period at a second predetermined temperature to obtain a mixture, (e) subjecting mixture to mechanical stirring at a first predetermined speed for a third predetermined time-period at a third predetermined temperature to obtain a primary extract followed by filtering the extract through a sintered disc funnel under vacuum to obtain a clear extract, (f) treating clear extract with activated silica gel having mesh size in the range of 60-120 at 20-30℃ for 1-10 minutes to remove impurities and obtain colorless filtrate. The colorless filtrate is subjected to column chromatography followed by concentration in a rotary vacuum evaporator to obtain oxidized form of squalene. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a composition, e.g., nutraceutical composition or a topical composition comprises 90-95 mass.% oxidized form of squalene (OSQ) and 5-10 mass.% pharmaceutically acceptable ingredients
