成果简介	NOVELTY - Aerosol generating substrate, which is substantially-free from tobacco, comprises: (i) 65-80 wt.% at least one cereal fiber; (ii) 15-30 wt.% at least an aerosol former; (iii) 0.1-8 wt.% at least one active; (iv) 0-5 wt.% additives; and (v) water. The substrate is in form of a continuous pliable reconstituted sheet, and has a mechanical strength of 300-600 N/M. The cereal fiber is in a form comprising husk, bran, straw, and/or chaffs. The active is nicotine which is tobacco derived or synthetic. The ratio of the total solid content of cereal fibers, aerosol, active and additives to water is 1:2.5-1:3.5. USE - The substrate is useful as a filler agent in tobacco based substrate as well as non-tobacco based nicotine based substrate, and for aerosol generating article, e.g. smoking article. ADVANTAGE - The aerosol generating substrate is substantially free from tobacco. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparing the aerosol generating substrate comprising (a) grinding the cereal fiber, (b) addition of aerosol former, active and other additives to the cereal fiber of step (a) to form a homogenous slurry to maintain a solids and water ratio of 1:2.5 to 1:3.5 and a viscosity of 35000-45000 cps and (c) casting and dehydrating the homogenous slurry of step (b) over a moving conveyor belt to obtain the aerosol generating substrate, substantially free from tobacco.
