成果简介NOVELTY - The process for preparation of a fluorinated ester compound (I), involves halogenating difluoroacetone to give a fluorinated compound (IV); converting the compound (IV) to a fluorinated ester compound (V); and reducing the compound (V) to compound (I), where the improvement lies in the preparation of difluoroacetone by decomposition of alkyl difluoroacetoacetate in presence of a resin. USE - Process for preparation of a fluorinated ester compound (I). ADVANTAGE - The method provides simple, cost-effective and industrially applicable processes for preparation of difluoroacetone. The acid resin used as catalyst are strongly acidic, cation exchanger and can be recycled multiple times without any reprocessing which makes the process more economically viable. The effluent discharge of acidic resin is minimum in the environment due to its high recyclability. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - The process for preparation of a fluorinated ester compound of formula (CH(F)2-CH2-C(=O)-OR) (I), involves halogenating difluoroacetone to give a fluorinated compound of formula (CH(F)2-C(=O)-CH(X)2) (IV); converting the compound (IV) to a fluorinated ester compound of formula (CH(F)2-CH(OH)-C(=O)-OR1) (V); and reducing the compound (V) to compound (I), where the improvement lies in the preparation of difluoroacetone by decomposition of alkyl difluoroacetoacetate in presence of a resin. (R = 1-6C-alkyl; X = halo such as Cl, Br, or I; and R1= H or 1-6C-alkyl).
