成果简介	NOVELTY - The assembly has a chamber (104) configured in an earth switch (102), where the chamber is filled with a sulfur hexafluoride gas. A pressure regulator (106) is operatively coupled to the chamber for maintaining the gas pressure inside the chamber to a pre-defined level. A main shaft (108) coupled with the switch is used to generate an interlock with a front face of the switch when pressure is at the level. The interlock between the shaft and the front face indicates a service condition of the assembly. An operating shaft is slidably configured with the shaft to operate the shaft. USE - Earth switch assembly for medium voltage air insulated switchgear used as protection for electrical equipments. ADVANTAGE - The assembly assembles the earth switch within a sulfur hexafluoride compartment, reduces phase to phase and phase to earth distance. Lesser space may be required to mount earth switch of similar enclosure frame or rating. Sparkling or arcing generated during earthing is reduced considerably. The assembly enables an inlet and outlet of sulfur hexafluoride gas during manufacturing and a periodic maintenance procedure. The main shaft may indicate a physical situation (ON or EARTH) as an indicator and may be maneuvered to achieve a desired interlock with the assembly.
