成果简介NOVELTY - Post-carbonization addition of additive involves spraying a first predetermined quantity of fluid onto the nut coke to moisturize the nut coke, and sprinkling a second predetermined quantity of an additive powder onto the moisturized nut coke to form a coated nut coke, where the coated nut coke has coke strength after reaction (CSR) ranging between 62-65 and coke reaction index (CRI) ranging between 26.5-27.5. USE - Post-carbonization addition of additive used for coating nut coke to suppress reactivity in metallurgical furnace (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The post-carbonization addition of additive suppresses reactivity in a metallurgical furnace, and reduces the coke rate when the coated nut coke subjected to the metallurgical furnace. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a nut coke, which comprises: a carbonaceous material, and a coating formed on the carbonaceous material, where the coating is formed by an additive powder.
