成果简介	NOVELTY - Apparatus (100) comprises: a gripper arm unit (202) configured for seizing and positioning cotton bolls in a manner conducive to extraction; and many gripper belt units operatively connected to the gripper arm unit, where the gripper belt units are configured to extract the cotton bolls, and each gripper belt unit comprises a belt configured to rotate so that the belt directs the extracted cotton bolls into a pipe enabled by a vacuum hose (206) upon contact with the extracted cotton bolls. The belt of each belt unit is arranged in a beak shape to target the bobolls and penetrate foliage. The beak opening and closing is operated via a spring mechanism. The apparatus further comprises a sensor based vision system to capture the precise orientation of the cotton bolls. USE - The apparatus is useful for extracting cotton bolls (claimed) from cotton plants. ADVANTAGE - The apparatus: avoids difficulty faced in extraction of cotton bolls due to low strength of cotton plants by use of gripper fingers, thus providing a firm support to cotton boll during extraction; and prevents wastage of boll and damage to cotton plants during extraction of the boll.
