| 成果简介 | NOVELTY - The sampler has a communication device (1) establishing connectivity with an operator. A battery casing (2) contains batteries to power the device. An electronics casing (3) contains electronic circuit boards to control the device, and buoyancy foams (4) are mounted around the device to provide positive buoyancy. A trigger mechanism (5) closes lids of Niskin bottles (7) and four thrusters are used for horizontal motion (6) and depth motion. A global positioning system (GPS) (8) provides latitude and longitude while moving a surface, and a pressure sensor (9) triggers the closing of the bottles at a programmed depth. USE - Autonomous surface water sampler for collecting water samples using Niskin bottle in mass water bodies. Uses include but are not limited to lakes, ponds, rivers, coasts and oceans. ADVANTAGE - The position control and trigger mechanism enables the water samples without contamination away from the ship or boat from where it is operated. The water sampler aids in pollution monitoring, water quality analysis and scientific research purposes. The sampler attains sixth and fourteenth sustainable development goals of clean water, sanitation and life below water respectively.
