USE - Stable preparation of retapamulin for the treatment of skin infections, specifically soft skin tissue infections (SSTIs) caused by gram-positive bacteria, particularly Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) and Group A Streptococcus, notably Streptococcus pyogenes. No biological data given. ADVANTAGE - The stable preparation ensures retapamulin remains protected within the lipidic environment against light and oxidative and temperature degradation not only during the storage but during the usage period after opening the primary packaging container, has unique mechanism of action, high efficacy, and favorable safety profile.
