| 成果简介 | NOVELTY - An electro-microfluidic droplet chip (10) has one or more microfluidic channels divided into sections extending between one or more inlets and/or one or more outlets, and has a concrete pipe (CP) inlet (14) for letting continuous phase liquid pass into a CP microfluidic channel section, a differential pressure (DP) inlet (16) for letting dispersed phase liquid pass into a DP microfluidic channel section, a droplet junction formed at the intersection of the CP and DP sections, a surfactant inlet (18) for letting a surfactant pass into the common section, where the surfactant inlet is located at extremity of common section, an outlet junction where surfactant meets the droplets, the droplets led into an outlet microfluidic channel section, which is perpendicular to the common section, and a droplet outlet (12) for letting out the droplets emanating from outlet junction, where electric potential is applied at designated one or more inlets and/or designated one or more outlets. USE - Electro-microfluidic droplet chip for droplet generation and diversion or sorting. ADVANTAGE - The improved microfluidic device is purposed for droplet generation and diversion (or sorting) by application of electric potential at designated points. The chip can process large number of samples (i.e. droplets) in a compact and efficient manner thus reducing the time and resources required for laboratory analysis. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An electro-microfluidic droplet chip for droplet generation and diversion (or sorting), has one or more microfluidic channels divided into sections extending between one or more inlets and/or one or more outlets, and has a concrete pipe (CP) inlet for letting continuous phase liquid pass into a CP microfluidic channel section, a differential pressure (DP) inlet for letting dispersed phase liquid pass into a DP microfluidic channel section, a droplet junction formed at the intersection of the CP and DP sections, where the droplet junction for generating droplets and the droplets emanating from the droplet junction is led into a common microfluidic channel section, a surfactant inlet for letting a surfactant pass into the common section, where the surfactant inlet is located at extremity of the common section, an outlet junction where the surfactant meets the droplets, the droplets led into an outlet microfluidic channel section, which is perpendicular to the common section, and a droplet outlet for letting out the droplets emanating from the outlet junction, where electric potential is applied at designated one or more inlets and/or designated one or more outlets.
