成果简介NOVELTY - Synthesizing an ampicillin-loaded polymeric nanoparticle involves (a) dissolving ampicillin and Poly (lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA) in acetone; (b) adding the organic phase to an aqueous phase containing Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA); (c) homogenizing the mixture; (d) evaporating the acetone; (e) centrifuging the mixture to separate the nanoparticles; and (f) rinsing the nanoparticles with distilled water (Abstract based on the front page). USE - Method for synthesizing an ampicillin-loaded polymeric nanoparticle that exhibiting promising antibacterial activity against Multidrug -resistant (MDR) strains of Salmonella Typhi. No biological data is given. ADVANTAGE - The ampicillin-loaded polymeric nanoparticle has a mean particle size of 991.1 nm and a polydispersity index of 0.441. The zeta potential of the ampicillin-loaded polymeric nanoparticle is -35.2 mV. The entrapment efficiency of the ampicillin-loaded polymeric nanoparticle is 70.70%. The invitro release study shows that the nanoparticles release the drug in a sustained manner, and is more effective than pure ampicillin.
