| 成果简介 | NOVELTY - A nanocomposite comprises silver nitrate at a concentration of 0.001 M, titanium dioxide at a concentration of 0.001 M, and cobalt nitrate at a concentration of 0.01 M, and eugenol, where eugenol is loaded onto nanocomposite through sonication process. USE - Nanocomposite for use as antimicrobial and antioxidant agent, and having antimicrobial activity against wound-associated microorganisms such as Escherichia coli, Proteus mirabilis, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Staphylococcus aureus. Test details are described but no results given. ADVANTAGE - The nanocomposite has increased surface area, improved stability, and prolonged release of eugenol. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for preparing eugenol-loaded silver-titanium-cobalt trimetallic nanocomposite, which comprises: (a) preparing eugenol extract by dissolving powdered clove buds in 40% butanol solution and filtering the extract; (b) synthesizing the trimetallic nanocomposite by adding eugenol extract dropwise into a solution containing 0.001 M silver nitrate, 0.001 M titanium dioxide, and 0.01 M cobalt nitrate, stirring the mixture at 350 revolutions/minute for 2 hours at 60℃; (c) adding polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP) at a concentration of 0.001 mM to the mixture to act as a capping agent to form nanocomposite; and (d) loading eugenol onto the synthesized nanocomposite via sonication by dissolving the nanocomposite in eugenol and sonicating for 15 minutes, followed by centrifugation and filtration to collect the eugenol-loaded nanocomposite. |
