| 成果简介 | NOVELTY - Quinoline analog and its formulation comprising central quinoline core structure having selective hydrophobicity based on polar and non-polar moieties on the central quinoline core is new, where non-polar moieties include at least two dissimilar acyclic aliphatic hydrophobic moieties based on 6-11 carbon side chains on one side of the quinoline core and polar moieties on the other as co-acting antibiotic adjuvants. USE - Quinoline analog and its formulation for inhibiting growth of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus. Test details are described but no results given. ADVANTAGE - The quinoline analog and formulation exhibits improved serum stability and reduced harm to healthy host cells, improved bioavailability, and reduced cytotoxicity towards normal cells including the lowest possible hemolytic activity, and can be tolerated by the mammalian cell lines WI38, RAW 264.7, and HEK-293. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for preparing quinoline analogs and formulations, which comprises: (i) providing bromoaniline including 4-bromoaniline and aliphatic aldehydes including butanal, octanal, and dodecanal for concurrently forming the quinoline core with hydrophobic side chain introduction to obtain 6- bromoquinolines with hydrophobic side chains; (ii) transforming the thus obtained 6-bromoquinolines to their corresponding acids followed by conjugating said acid with N-Boc-ethylenediamine to obtain terminal Boc functionality that was deprotected to obtain therefrom said Quinoline analogs and formulations. |
