成果简介NOVELTY - Bioactive mesoporous silica nanoparticle based active, and its formulations comprises a co-acting large pore-size of ~4.5 nm amine functionalized Mesoporous silica nanoparticles (L-MSN) as carrier for therapeutic payloads coated with Polydopamine (PDA) for delivery of therapeutic payloads and scavenging of Reactive oxygen species (ROS) for favorable neurogenesis. USE - Bioactive mesoporous silica nanoparticle based active and its formulations as carrier or gel for combating ROS levels and neuron regeneration in traumatic brain injury. Test details are described, but no results are given. ADVANTAGE - The PDA-AMSN-D in the formulation having excellent biocompatibility with neuroblastoma cell line (SH-SY5Y) and elegant cell lines such as mesenchymal stem cells (hMSCs) enables reduced neuroinflammation, bestow blood-brain barrier (BBB) protection, confer neuroprotective effect, and promote neuron regeneration and functional recovery, with the amalgamation of Gel/ PDA-AMSN-D being adapted as AND logic gate, where both NCM in PDA-AMSNs mitigate injury outcomes and contribute to the neurological functional recovery. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method of manufacturing of bioactive mesoporous silica nanoparticle based active and its formulations which involves: (a) providing large pore based mesoporous silica nanoparticles MSN; (b) modifying the mesoporous silica nanoparticles with amine to obtain amine functionalized AMSN that is optionally loaded with Neuroregenerative chemical modulator (NCM)/drugs as AMSN-D; and (c) coating with dopamine by oxidative self polymerization in weakly alkaline conditions to achieve the bioactive mesoporous silica nanoparticle based active preferably as Polydopamine (PDA) coated Amine-functionalized bioactive mesoporous silica nanoparticles (AMSN) of (PDA-AMSN) and/or (PDA-AMSN-D).
