成果简介NOVELTY - Polymer-based functionally graded composite membrane, comprises biocompatible and resorbable polymers having a base layer and a binder layer with embedded bioceramic particles for in vivo application, where the base layer acts as structural support for protection from ingrowing epithelial tissues and the binder layer gets resorbed to release bioactive particles for periodontal and peri-implant bone defect healing. USE - The polymer-based functionally graded composite membrane is useful for guided tissue regeneration procedures in dentistry. ADVANTAGE - The composite membrane avoids separate bone grafting procedure along with the use of guided tissue regeneration membrane, in large periodontal defects.
