USE - Drug eluting mucoadhesive bandage for treatment of multiple oral disease conditions such as oral cancer, leucoplakia, desquamative gingivitis, oral ulcers, xerostomia, and candidiasis. No biological data given. ADVANTAGE - The drug eluting mucoadhesive bandage provides a sustained release of drug for a period ranging between 8 hours and 72 hours. The mucoadhesive bandages has enhanced mucoadhesive properties and perform sustained release of bioactive agents (e.g. drug alone, combination of bioactive agents) for prolonged period of time effective for the targeted localized delivery of oral disease conditions.
