| 成果简介 | NOVELTY - Apparatus for multi-material, simultaneous and continuous, powder metering and delivery, for feedstock handling, in directed energy deposition, the apparatus comprising:a laser head (1) configured to be retrofittable with the apparatus' powder metering and delivery unit; a powder dispensing hopper (2) being located at an operative top and having powder delivery conduits extending from underneath it, o a powder metering shaft located transverse to the powder dispensing hopper with outlets; the powder delivery conduits connecting a powder dispensing hopper's outlets to glass feed tubes (4) in order to take metered powder to the glass feed tubes such that:one end of the conduits being connected to powder dispensing hopper, and another end of each of the conduits extending into corresponding glass feed tubes; the glass feed tubes being circumferentially placed as passing through a ring, thereby forming a defined angular direction towards a focal point spaced apart from the ring's plane. USE - Apparatus for multi-material, simultaneous and continuous, powder metering and delivery for feedstock handling in directed energy deposition (DED). ADVANTAGE - The apparatus is capable of delivering precise amounts of powder in low quantities in a consistent and continuous manner. It offers high powder catchment efficiency. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Apparatus for multi-material, simultaneous and continuous, powder metering and delivery, for feedstock handling, in directed energy deposition, the apparatus comprising:a laser head (1) configured to be retrofittable with the apparatus' powder metering and delivery unit; a powder dispensing hopper (2) being located at an operative top and having powder delivery conduits extending from underneath it, o a powder metering shaft located transverse to the powder dispensing hopper with outlets; the powder delivery conduits connecting a powder dispensing hopper's outlets to glass feed tubes (4) in order to take metered powder to the glass feed tubes such that:one end of the conduits being connected to the powder dispensing hopper, and another end of each of the conduits extending into corresponding glass feed tubes; the glass feed tubes being circumferentially placed as passing through a ring, thereby forming a defined angular direction towards a focal point spaced apart from the ring's plane; a laser beam (6) channeled through the gap formed by the glass feed tubes, within an internal circumference of the ring, and aimed towards the focal point on a substrate (5) spaced apart from the ring's plane.
