成果简介	NOVELTY - Oxygen scavenger containing food grade catalyst (E470b) comprises 1-5 % natural rubber from rubber tree (Hevea brasiliensis) 0.0003-1 % catalyst, and 90-99 % carrier for oxygen scavenging and food preservation. The carrier material is silica powder, coconut coir, zeolite, charcoal, desiccants, natural fibers. The scavenging material is incorporated with the carrier by wetness impregnation method, mixing or blending. USE - Oxygen scavenger containing food grade catalyst used for oxygen-sensitive products, including food, pharmaceuticals and electronic products. ADVANTAGE - The oxygen scavenger containing a food-grade catalyst has increased the shelf life of oxygen-sensitive packed products ranging from 3-7 days depending on food product. The developed scavenging material has significant potential to reduce the oxygen sensitive product losses and improve safety, making a sustainable option for any oxygen sensitive product. The scavenger brings high expectations to the food packaging industry, with efficient and nature-friendly approach to reducing oxygen levels. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a process for preparation of oxygen scavenger involves (i) preparing of natural rubber solution with 10-5% natural rubber (NR) in 300 ml of hexane solvent, stirring the mixture for 30 minutes using a magnetic plate; (ii) adding 0.0003-1 % magnesium-stearate as activation catalyst to the solution, obtaining a mixture; (iii) impregnating the mixture onto 90-99 % silica gel carrier using the incipient wetness impregnation method, obtaining oxygen scavenger, (iv) packaging under vacuum / nitrogen packaging with high oxygen barrier materials, and making 0.5-5-gram sachets.
