USE - Trimetallic catalyst used for generation of hydrogen by methane steam reforming. ADVANTAGE - The catalyst has improved stability, reduces particle size and good metal dispersion, enhances the catalytic performance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for preparation of a trimetallic catalyst, which involves (a) calcining a powder of a catalyst support at a predefined temperature at a rate of 1 °C/minute for a predefined time in muffle furnace to obtain a crushed powder of catalyst support, (b) dipping under vigorous stirring the crushed powder of catalyst support for a predefined time in a trimetallic mixture solution and maintaining the predefined pH to obtain a slurry, and (c) drying the slurry at 120 °C followed by crushing and calcining to convert the nitrates into oxides in the presence of air at a predefined temperature for a predefined time to obtain a trimetallic catalyst. |
