成果简介NOVELTY - Composition of bismuth ferrite comprises a bismuth ferrite lattice doped with rare earth ions. USE - Composition of bismuth ferrite used for tailoring the optical response of these nanoparticles in the near-infrared region (NIR). ADVANTAGE - The composition has provides a new multifunctional material with a tuneable photothermal effect with very high evaporation rates, provides a more precise control over doping combination and concentration has carried out, excellent control over non-radiative transitions via chemical engineering suitable for intense photo-thermal effect, precise control over non-radiative transitions achieved through rare earth (RE) doping, combined with the material's low cytotoxicity, significantly enhances its photothermal properties, improves characteristics make the material well-suited for biomedical applications, especially therapeutic ones, controlled NIR absorption window and non-radiative transitions is achieved by doping of rare earth metals at the bismuth site is varied in concentration, demonstrates technical feasibility for higher evaporation rates in desalination processes, invented composition has been tested for desalination applications and has demonstrated an enhanced evaporation yield, and improves the efficiency of the desalination process. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a process for the preparation of a specific composition of bismuth ferrite, which involves (a) mixing bismuth nitrate pentahydrate (3-6 grams), ferric nitrate nonahydrate (3-6 grams), and citric acid (3-10 20 grams), ytterbium nitrate pentahydrate (0.05-1 gram), erbium nitrate pentahydrate (0,05-1.5 grams), in distilled water, (b) heating with constant stirring to obtain a viscous gel, (c) adding diluted nitric acid (HNO3) (5-15 ml), (d) heating with constant stirring to obtain a viscous gel, (e) drying at 300 - 500 ℃, (f) grinding into a fine powder and annealing at 500-600 ℃ to obtain a desired phase of bismuth ferrite.
