| 成果简介 | NOVELTY - The process for preparing a gelling agent composed of an aluminum soap of fatty acid involves: (a) charging edible oils such as coconut oil, groundnut oil, linseed oil, palm oil, olive oil and/or mustard oil containing saturated and unsaturated fatty acids into the reactor; (b) agitating charged mass of the step (a) at ambient temperature, and adding 10-20% alkali solutions drop-wise to the charge agitated mass, followed by saponification of fatty acids; (c) precipitating reaction mass of the step (b) by the controlled addition of an alcohol to obtain the alkali soap; (d) charging alkali soap of the step (c) into reactor containing required quantity of a solvent, agitating at 60-80 °C to ensure complete dissolution of alkali soap. USE - Process for preparing a gelling agent composed of an aluminum soap of fatty acid for use in an inflammable hydrocarbon fuel gel composition (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The gelling agent provides inflammable hydrocarbon fuel gel with spontaneous combustion, high flame temperature, high temperature integral and longer burning time, and identifies suitable hydrocarbon fuels that can form stable and homogenous gel. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - The process for preparing a gelling agent composed of an aluminum soap of fatty acid involves: (a) charging edible oils such as coconut oil, groundnut oil, linseed oil, palm oil, olive oil and/or mustard oil containing saturated and unsaturated fatty acids into the reactor; (b) agitating charged mass of the step (a) at ambient temperature, and adding 10-20% alkali solutions drop-wise to the charge agitated mass, followed by saponification of fatty acids; (c) precipitating reaction mass of the step (b) by the controlled addition of an alcohol to obtain the alkali soap; (d) charging alkali soap of the step (c) into reactor containing required quantity of a solvent, agitating at 60-80 °C to ensure complete dissolution of alkali soap; (e) adding 10-25 wt.% polymeric additive to the dissolved alkali soap under stirring while maintaining the temperature 60-80 °C; (f) precipitating the reaction mixture) by adding 1-10 wt.% coagulating agents such as aluminum sulfate, aluminum acetate or aluminum hydroxide solution under vigorous stirring until pH of solution is in range from 6-7; filtering, washing of white fluffy aluminum soap; (g) dispersing aluminum soap in required quantity of solvent, adding pre-dissolved solution of anti-oxidant such as alkylated phenols, alkyl-phenyl ethers or naphthol in organic solvents to the aluminum soap dispersion and agitating; (h) removing organic solvent from the granulated soap of the step (g), filtering and drying; and (i) coating granulated aluminum soap with a coating agent. INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for: (1) the gelling agent; (2) an inflammable hydrocarbon fuel gel composition, which comprises 88-94 wt.% hydrocarbon fuel, 6-12 wt.% the gelling agent, and 0.5-1 wt.% an anti-oxidant; and (3) a process for preparing the inflammable hydrocarbon fuel gel composition, which involves charging 0.5-1 wt.% the anti-oxidant into a reactor, adding 88-94 wt.% hydrocarbon fuel under agitation at ambient temperature to the anti-oxidant, and dissolution of anti-oxidant in the fuel, loading 6-12 wt.% the gelling agent into the reaction mixture and agitating reactor for complete dispersion and thickening of gelling agent, and incubating the thickened dispersion to obtain hydrocarbon gelled fuel. |
