成果简介NOVELTY - Carrying out biosynthesis of Copper Oxide (CuO) nanoparticles using Pseudanabaena species, involves: (a) isolating Cyanobacteria strains having plant growth-promoting properties; (b) adding the isolated Cyanobacteria strains to a light blue colored copper solution, where the production of a clear, colorless solution indicates the formation of a fine precipitate of synthesized CuO nanoparticles; (c) drying the supernatant-based nanomaterials obtained in step (b) to obtain a greenish color powder of CuO nanoparticles; and (d) layering the CuO nanoparticles over zeolite to enhance the delivery of the nanoparticles to crops. USE - Method for carrying out biosynthesis of Copper Oxide nanoparticles using Pseudanabaena species. ADVANTAGE - The biosynthesis of CuO nanoparticles is carried out under controlled light conditions to optimize the activity of the Cyanobacteria, and the resulting CuO nanoparticles exhibit antimicrobial properties beneficial for plant growth. The layered zeolite-CuO nanoparticle composite is applied directly to the soil or as a foliar spray to promote crop growth and health. The Pseudanabaena species mediate biosynthesis of CuO nanoparticle as mineral nutrient for plant growth promotion. The synthesized CuO nanoparticles are readily absorbed by plants, moving from the roots to various above-ground parts and nano-formulation based on carrier molecules like zeolite is used for sustained and slow nutrient release, and glycine amino acid, an osmolyte, to improve plant stress tolerance.
