成果简介NOVELTY - Twin component fire-extinguishing composition comprises a silica sol, and a non-corrosive gelling agent, where the silica sol comprises 30-50 vol.% sodium silicate, 25-30 vol.% soapnut extract and 20-45 vol.% water. USE - The fire-extinguishing composition is used for Class A & Class B fires. ADVANTAGE - The fire-extinguishing composition is effective for Class A & Class B fires and is completely eco- friendly as determined by biodegradation studies. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method of preparation of fire-extinguishing composition involves mixing 30-50 vol.% sodium silicate with 25-30 vol.% soapnut extract and 20-45 vol.% water to obtain a silica sol; and combining the silica sol with a non-corrosive gelling agent in a volume ratio in the range of 1: 0.4 to 1:2 to obtain a fire-extinguishing composition.
