| 成果简介 | NOVELTY - Preparing polysaccharide from seaweed Ulva fasciata comprises: (i) washing seaweed Ulva fasciata in water followed by rinsing, drying and homogenizing to obtain a homogenized Ulva fasciata powder; (ii) subjecting the homogenized Ulva fasciata powder to depigmentation by treating with a fluid medium to obtain depigmented wet solids; (iii) extracting the wet solids with water to obtain an aqueous extract, and concentrating the aqueous extract to obtain aqueous concentrate of Ulva fasciata; (iv) treating the aqueous concentrate of Ulva fasciata with tri-substituted halogenated organic acid to obtain a treated extract; (v) centrifuging the treated extract to obtain deproteinated extract of Ulva fasciata; (vi) mixing the deproteinated extract of Ulva fasciata with ice-cold alcohol, and centrifuging for 15-35 minutes to obtain a crude polysaccharide of Ulva fasciata; and (vii) fractionating the crude polysaccharide to obtain polysaccharide. USE - Method for preparing polysaccharide for use in composition (claimed), and having immunomodulatory, antiviral and anti-inflammatory activities. Test details are described but no results given. ADVANTAGE - The composition containing the polysaccharide has shelf life of 11-14 months, and the polysaccharide can be prepared in simple, safe, and effective manner. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing polysaccharide from seaweed Ulva fasciata comprises: (i) washing seaweed Ulva fasciata in water followed by rinsing, drying and homogenizing to obtain a homogenized Ulva fasciata powder; (ii) subjecting the homogenized Ulva fasciata powder to depigmentation by treating with a fluid medium in a first predetermined ratio at a first predetermined temperature for a first predetermined time to obtain depigmented wet solids; (iii) subjecting the wet solids to extraction with water at a second predetermined temperature for a second predetermined time to obtain an aqueous extract, and concentrating the aqueous extract to obtain aqueous concentrate of Ulva fasciata; (iv) treating the aqueous concentrate of Ulva fasciata with a predetermined amount of tri-substituted halogenated organic acid at a third predetermined temperature for a third predetermined time to obtain a treated extract; (v) centrifuging the treated extract at a first predetermined speed for 15-35 minutes to obtain deproteinated extract of Ulva fasciata; (vi) mixing the deproteinated extract of Ulva fasciata with a predetermined amount of ice-cold alcohol at a fourth predetermined temperature for a fourth predetermined time, and centrifuging at a second predetermined speed for 15-35 minutes to obtain a crude polysaccharide of Ulva fasciata; and (vii) fractionating the crude polysaccharide to obtain polysaccharide. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a composition, which comprises 90-98 mass% polysaccharide of Ulva fasciata, and 2-10 mass% antioxidants. |
